Animals |
|

Wildlife and domestic animals come first! All animals can be alarmed by a 4x4 vehicle, so be prepared to proceed very slowly, or to switch off your engine and wait.

Never follow or pursue animals and be aware that some, such as buck and rabbits, tend to run on in front of a vehicle rather than moving of to the side.

Watch out for creatures basking in the sun on the open road.

In poor light, be careful not to dazzle animals with your headlights.

| First of all, DO NOT go out and buy yourselves expensive camping gear. We will provide you with a list of everything you will personally need to bring along with you, the rest we take care of. Remember, we have been doing this for over 20 years so you are in good hands! One important thing to remember - be sure to bring your sense of humour, Mother Nature seems to always surprise us in one way or another on these tours, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun however if she didn't! |

From here the hunt starts to find the ever-moving herds of Zebra. During the 2010 migration, close to 20 000 Zebra were spotted. We will take our lunch break at the third-largest Baobab in Africa "Green's Baobabs".
From here we move into the Makgadikgadi National Park - The vast grass savannahs found here usually plays host to large herds of Zebra. The Ilalla Palms found here creates a tropical atmosphere.
We will set up basecamp on the bank of the Boteti river that has now started flowing for the first time in 30 years. From here we will follow the herds of Zebra with the predators in tow hoping to see a kill.
A visit to the world-renowned Baobab trees painted by Thomas Baines 160 years ago will round off our safari.
Once we have found the main herd, we will follow them around the Makgadikgadi Pans until our return to South Africa filled with memories that will stay with you for a lifetime!
According to www.100places.com, this is one of the phenomenae that might not occur any more within a few years time.
